From the North
A595 to Gosforth, Turn left and left again at the mini roundabout, then through the village of Gosforth follow the road without deviating left or right, along the side of Wastwater to Wasdale Head, The Free Car Parking is on the left just after the old school

From the South
A595 towards Holmrook, just before entering the village, turn right, passed Irton Hall and then left at the T junction at Santon Bridge, then quickly right before passing The Bridge Inn, then 1st right in Nether Wasdale (Just over bridge), right again after 100 yards, along the side of Wastwater to Wasdale Head, The Free Car Parking is on the left just after the old school

From the West
Leave the A595 at Gosforth and follow the road to Wasdale Head, which is approximately 9 miles.

From the East
Take Wrynose and Hardknott Pass to Eskdale, Turn right at King George IV and follow this road to Santon where you will find a right hand turn imediately before the Bridge Inn signposted for Wasdale. On reaching Nether Wasdale turn right for Wast Water and follow the road alongside the lake until you reach Wasdale Head. Please note, Wrynose and Hardknott should only be used by experienced drivers.
